Massachusetts State Travel Tournaments - March 19-20, 2016
The CCYBL will be granted berths in these events for our two championship finalists as well as a number of at-large berths for carefully-vetted top teams. We have been sending teams to the States since the inaugural event following the 2008-09 season. As the CCYBL finishes much earlier than other leagues, information on these tournaments is just now beginning to emerge. So far this is what is available for this season's three separate events, all held on the above dates:
Boys 6th-8th--Run by Selecthoops and Mass Premier Courts at held at MPC and Foxboro area gyms.
Girls 6th-8th--Run by Eastern Basketball and held at Danvers Indoor Sports and Danvers area gyms.
Girls 5th and Boys 4th-5th--Run by Fundamental Hoops and held a Danvers Indoor Sports and Andover area gyms.
The format for last year's events was pool play on Saturday to bracket play (Gold & Silver) on Sunday with a three-game guarantee. Entry fee was in the neighborhood of $250-275.
Teams must qualify for these tournaments and initial entry will be through the CCYBL only. Potential CCYBL entrants should contact Steve Post at firstname.lastname@example.org
